As the year draws to a close, it is natural to reflect on what has been achieved and wonder what lies ahead. We can be grateful for how God has carried us while still feeling apprehensive about the future.

Gratitude and uncertainty can coexist. Trust does not remove uncertainty: it reassures us that God, who knows the future, has already gone ahead of us. Deuteronomy 31:8 promises, “The Lord Himself goes before you.” The moments that feel like “jump scares” to us are already known to God. What feels like Plan B, C or even Z to us is never an emergency adjustment for Him.

This November, release the pressure to have everything figured out. You may not know what lies ahead, but you can trust the One who does.
