A pearl-fect October

This month, my parents celebrated 30 years of marriage – their pearl anniversary. I learnt that a pearl begins with an irritant, covered layer upon layer until something precious is formed. Every relationship has its irritations. Yet 1 Peter 4:8 says, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

Perhaps loving imperfect people means choosing patience when irritated, forgiveness when hurt and kindness when it isn’t easy.

May God, who loves us despite our imperfections, help us choose love in how we respond to others.

Stay blessed,

Dara xx
