The end of the year looks different for everyone. For some, it’s a season of unfulfilled expectations and unanswered prayers. In these moments, we can draw inspiration from two biblical stories: Jacob in Genesis 32:26, where he wrestled with God and declared, “I will not let go until You bless me,” and the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:22-28, who, even though she wasn’t part of God’s “chosen” people, was persistent in her request to Jesus for her daughter’s healing.
Jacob relied on his cleverness and schemes to secure blessings and achieve his goals. But in this pivotal moment, he realised his strength was insufficient. Instead of continuing to fight, he chose to cling to God. By refusing to let go, Jacob demonstrated unwavering faith, bringing about a profound blessing and transformation. The Canaanite woman, too, showed that persistent faith and prayer can lead to a breakthrough.
I pray we all recognise our limitations and surrender fully to God. As the year draws to a close persist in prayer, cling to His Word, and boldly declare: “I will not let go until God blesses me.” May His blessings unfold in your life beyond what you could imagine.
Have a Determined December! ✨
Stay blessed,
Dárà
